I am a lecturer in philosophy at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga.
Before that I was a casual lecturer in philosophy at Sydney University, Macquarie University, and the University of New South Wales.
Before that I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Philosophy at Cornell.
Before that I was doing my doctoral thesis at Oxford, supervised by Tim Williamson. My thesis was about the meaning of 'look' sentences, such as 'John looks American', and involved issues in the philosophy of language, metaphysics, and epistemology. I am also interested in philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, formal and philosophical logic, and critical thinking.
Before becoming a philosopher I was a database developer in Sydney and Melbourne. Before that I was a secondary school teacher of mathematics and physics at Geelong Grammar School.
